I pretty much run my entire freelance writing and photography businesses in Notion, and it’s also a fantastic tool for organizing my personal life. Notion Web Clipper is a simple add-on that you can use to quickly save pages within your workspace.

When using this clipper, you can choose the specific Notion workspace in which you want to save it. Moreover, you can pick the exact page or create a new one. As one of the best note-taking alternatives to Evernote, you can use your clippings to support any notes you’ve already taken and also keep them handy for research.

Notion Web Clipper lets you customize the name of each page you save. It’s quite a basic extension, but it’ll do the job you’re looking for nonetheless.

2. Evernote Web Clipper

Evernote is a popular note-taking app, and you can use its web clipper to save content you find online to your preferred notebook. The clipper also lets you make a new notebook if you want to save your content elsewhere or don’t yet have any.

Use Evernote Web Clipper to save a web page as a simplified article or a bookmark. If you wish to take a full screenshot of your page, you can do that within the clipper.

The OneNote Web Clipper is similar to Evernote’s. You can take a full screenshot of a page or capture a small portion. I also like that OneNote lets you customize your note directly within the clipper. If I’m researching flights and accommodations for a trip, I’ll often use OneNote.

One thing that may irritate you is that, unlike Evernote, you can’t create new notebooks directly within the OneNote Web Clipper. Nonetheless, if you make these in the OneNote app, you should see them in the clipper.

When using the OneNote Web Clipper, you can choose whether you want serif or sans-serif fonts, highlight your text, change the font size, and adjust your clipping title.

4. Notebook Web Clipper

Zoho’s Notebook Web Clipper is a great alternative to the OneNote and Evernote Chrome extensions if you already use Zoho. You can use this extension to select multiple page aspects that you want to clip, and you can upload images from your computer if you need further context in your notebooks.

This clipper lets you screenshot part of a page, a focused area, or the full page. You can also bookmark pages you want to access later.

When you save an article in Zoho’s Notebook Web Clipper, it automatically syncs across your other devices. If you want to read an article without distractions, use the Reader View feature.

5. Programa Web Clipper

Programa Web Clipper is a great choice if you’re design-minded. Sign up for a Programa account first. This Chrome web clipper extension lets you clip web pages, then save your clips to a product or image library, and you can also choose to clip pages to your clipboard or schedule.

When using the Programa Web Clipper, you have the option to add product details, a name and description. It’s worth using alongside the many other Chrome extensions for designers.

You can specifically clip images in Programa if needed, in addition to adding other specs, like trade price, quantity, and diameter.

6. Nimbus Web Clipper

Nimbus Web Clipper lets you quickly save all of your clips within the Nimbus note-taking app. It has several features that you’d expect a Chrome web clipper extension to have, such as the option to clip part of a page or everything that you see.

You can also bookmark pages in Nimbus Web Clipper, in addition to previewing clips before you save them. If you only want to save pictures for inspiration or guidance, use the Image tab.

When saving an article in Nimbus Web Clipper, edit the text before completing the process. Similarly, remove any images you don’t want to keep.

7. Heptabase Web Clipper

Heptabase is a tool designed to help you understand your notes better, which will improve the efficiency of your research. Its interface looks a lot like Figma, and you can map your notes in a way that’s easy for you to understand. The Heptabase Web Clipper is very easy to use and understand.

Do take note that this Chrome extension sometimes takes a bit of time to work when you initially select it. Each time you click on the Heptabase Web Clipper, it’ll save the page you’re currently on in your app.

Your saved web pages will appear in the Card Library section of the Heptabase app. The extension doesn’t automatically save images from your pages, but you can enable this feature in your settings.

Web clippers are a simple way to save the content you need from web pages; you can use them for research and several other purposes. Since many require you to sign up for an account, it’s worth choosing a platform that best fits your needs. You may want to pair these web clippers with some of the Chrome extensions that’ll help you be more productive.
