If you use Spotify as your primary music streaming app, you can use apps like Receiptify and Beatspend on mobile and computer to generate a Spotify receipt, which lists your most played songs, artists, and genres on Spotify. Save images of these receipts and use them to share your favorite songs on social media. Learn how to use Receiptify and Beatspend to get a recap of your Spotify activity.

How to Generate a Spotify Receipt Using Receiptify on Mobile

Receiptify doesn’t have a mobile app. You must visit its website and log in to your Spotify account to generate a receipt. Follow these steps to generate a Spotify receipt from Receiptify’s website:

  1. Launch your mobile web browser and go to Receiptify’s website.
  2. Tap “Log in with Spotify” to connect your Spotify account.

  1. It will direct you to the Spotify web app. Enter your account username and password. You can also log in with your Facebook, Apple, or Google account if these platforms are connected to your Spotify account.

  1. Tick the “Remember me” box so that you don’t need to enter your credentials the next time you want to use Receiptify. Tap “Log In” after entering your Spotify account credentials.

  1. If this is your first time using Receiptify with your Spotify account, Receiptify will request access to your Spotify listening activity. Tap “Agree” to grant permission.

  1. After a few seconds, look at your Spotify receipt and filter it by top tracks, top artists, top genres, and stats in the last month, six months, or since you started using Spotify.

  1. To save your Spotify receipt, scroll down and tap “Download Image.”

  1. When you’re done, tap “Log out” below the “Download Image” button. You can log back in to generate another receipt.

Tip: if you want to send an entire playlist to your friends, you can share a collaborative playlist on Spotify instead.

How to Use Receiptify on Your Computer

You can also generate a Spotify receipt using Receiptify on your computer by following this step-by-step:

  1. Launch your web browser and go to Receiptify’s website.
  2. Click on “Log in with Spotify.”

  1. It will direct you to the Spotify web app, where you’ll enter your account username and password. You can also log in with your Facebook, Apple, or Google account if these platforms are connected to your Spotify account.

  1. Tick the “Remember me” box to save your Spotify credentials, then click “Log In.”

  1. If this is your first time using Receiptify with your Spotify account, Receiptify will request access to your Spotify listening activity. Click on “Agree” to grant permission.

How to Generate a Spotify Receipt Using Beatspend for iOS

A Beatspend Spotify receipt shows a list of your top 10 artists for the year, but you can’t see a list of your top songs and genres. However, the app does let you send your top artists money, which is a nice perk. The Beatspend app is free but only available on iOS and macOS. Follow these steps to generate a Spotify receipt using Beatspend for iOS:

  1. Download and launch Beatspend from the App Store.
  2. In the app, tap “Login with Spotify.”

  1. A pop-up will ask permission to let Beatspend sign in using your Spotify account. Click “Continue” to proceed.

  1. It will direct you to the Spotify web app, where you’ll enter your account username and password. If you have connected your Facebook, Apple, or Google accounts to your Spotify account, you can also log in with one of those accounts.

  1. Tick the “Remember me” box if you want to save your login info, then tap “Log In.”

  1. Beatspend will ask for permission to access your Spotify data. Tap “Agree” to grant permission and proceed.

  1. Wait for the app to generate your Spotify receipt with your top 10 artists for the year. The receipt also contains an estimated amount of royalties you’ve paid to the artists.

  1. To take a screenshot of your receipt, tap “Generate Final.”

  1. A pop-up will ask if you want to send real money to your top Spotify artists. This is optional, and you can continue using Beatspend without sending money to artists you listen to.

  1. On the next pop-up, tap “OK” to take a screenshot of your Spotify receipt.

  1. If you want to generate another receipt, tap on the barcode at the bottom of your current receipt.

How to Use Beatspend on Mac

Although Beatspend is designed for iOS, it’s also available for macOS. It has the same user interface as the iOS version, but you can navigate with your trackpad and keyboard. Follow these instructions to generate your Spotify receipt using Beatspend for macOS:

  1. Download and launch Beatspend for macOS.
  2. In the app, click on “Login with Spotify.”

  1. A pop-up will ask permission to let Beatspend sign in using your Spotify account. Click on “Continue” to proceed.

Does Receiptify and Beatspend work with Apple Music?

You can log in to Receiptify with your Apple Music account and to generate your listening activity receipt. For Beatspend, you can only generate Spotify receipts.

Will I be charged for using Receiptify and Beatspend?

Unless stated in the apps and allowed by you, Receiptify and Beatspend won’t charge you money for using their services. They only collect your listening activity to generate a receipt-looking list.

These apps have nothing to do with how much you spend on your Spotify or Apple Music subscription. You can even use these apps without a premium Spotify or Apple Music subscription.

However, Beatspend will charge you if you want to send money to your top artists.

Are there alternative apps for generating Spotify receipts, recaps, and other stats?

You can use other apps to generate lists of your top artists, songs, genres, etc. Some alternatives are Instafest and Festify, which let you create a music festival lineup of your top artists. These apps will also generate music festival posters.
