How to View Your Likes on Instagram
Instagram easily lets you keep track of your own likes. Follow the steps below to view all the photos and videos you liked on the app:
- Open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Press on your profile picture in the lower-right corner.
- Tap the hamburger menu in the upper right.
- From the menu that pops up at the bottom, select “Your activity.”
- Select “Interactions.”
- Press on “Likes.”
- You’ll be able to see the full collection of likes for photos and videos. Note that likes for material that has been deleted from the app won’t be available here.
- You can either scroll through the content freely or tap on the “Sort & Filter” option in the upper right to find a certain post in an easier fashion.
- You can filter by author, so if you remember who posted the post you’re trying to locate, you should have no problem finding it.
- Alternatively, you can filter by date.
- The Likes list is accessible if you’re browsing Instagram on your PC as well. On your Instagram profile, click on the “More” menu on the left.
- Select “Your activity.”
- Click “Interactions” to immediately see the list of likes.

How to Unlike Multiple Posts on Instagram
In your list of likes, you may find posts that you no longer find appealing or interesting. To curate your list so that it contains only the posts you currently still appreciate, you may want to delete them. Fortunately, Instagram allows you to do that in bulk. Follow the steps below to bulk delete them.
- Long-press on a post, then tap the others you want to remove from your list. Alternatively, press the “Select” button at the top and tap on the posts you want to unlike.
- Press the “Unlike” button at the bottom.
- Tap “Unlike” once again in the pop-up that appears.
- The posts will be removed from your list of likes.
- You can do the same from your PC by long-clicking on a post to select it.

How to View Other People’s Likes on Instagram
Instagram used to have the “Following” tab that you could access by tapping on the little heart icon (upper-right corner) in your feed. It used to show information about which posts and comments your followers liked. In an attempt to discourage stalking and related activities, Instagram removed this tab back in 2019.
Currently, Instagram does not offer a replacement option and most likely never will, and there’s no way to bring back it back, even with a third-party app. Be that as it may, you can still get a glimpse of what your followers have liked on the app.
Instagram will highlight a post or a video you are looking at if one of the accounts you follow has liked it. Open a post (or a Reel) and look underneath it. If it says “Liked by [Account] and X others,” it means one of your followers has liked this post or video.
For more information on who has liked the post, click on the “Liked by” option to see the complete list of Likes. If more of your followers have liked this post, they will be shown at the top. You can check this on your PC if you’re browsing Instagram on your browser.
At this point, it’s unclear how Instagram picks the account listed in the “Liked by” message. It’s probably an account you’ve interacted with more frequently compared with others.
Note that some people might choose to hide the likes count on their posts. If someone has enabled this option for a specific post, there’s nothing you can do to see who liked the post, as this information will only be visible to them. The only solution would be to reach out to them and ask them to share that info with you, although that’s certainly not an avenue to be considered in most scenarios.

What can I do if my list of likes doesn’t load on Instagram?
Images or thumbnails not loading is a problem that often affects Instagram users. If you’re seeing this, you can quickly try exiting the app and opening it up again. Learn how to properly close an app on Android before doing that. On iOS, the process is relatively similar. Also, make sure your app is up to date and that a bug is not to blame for Instagram not being able to load your list. How far back does my Likes history go?
Instagram doesn’t seem to have a limitation when it comes to showing you older likes. Our account dates back to 2015, and we managed to see likes dating to that year. You should be able to find your complete likes history unless the posts were deleted or the account that posted them was deleted.
How can I hide likes on posts on Instagram?
If you don’t want post likes to be visible to those visiting your profile, you can turn them off. There are two ways to hide likes on Instagram. The feature was introduced by Instagram after mental health struggles of the app’s younger audience surfaced.
Are there other ways to save posts for later on Instagram?
Instagram also offers the option to “Save” posts. Your saved posts are a separate list from your liked posts and can be accessed by going to “Settings -> Saved.” Unlike your list of liked posts, you can group your posts under different folders in “Saved.” This makes it easier to organize and keep track of your favorite posts.
