Whether you’re looking for something to kill your time with or want to get insights into the tech industry, AI, and several other niches, technology podcasts can fulfill that task easily. This list covers some of the best tech podcasts to listen to while on your daily commute, out for a walk, and other scenarios.

1. Waveform by MKBHD

Waveform is run by Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD on YouTube. In addition to his YouTube channel, which has over 18 million subscribers, he publishes weekly episodes on the Waveform podcast.

Marques covers the latest tech news and hot topics in tech across multiple verticals, such as apps, iPhones, and AI. He’s joined on the show by David Imel, Andrew Manganelli, and others.

Each show is around 1.5 to 2 hours long. Episodes to start with include TikTok Outperforms YouTube and Our Favorite Underrated YouTube Channels.

2. The Vergecast

Nilay Patel, David Pierce, and Alex Cranz talk about technology on The Vergecast in twice-weekly episodes. The trio discusses gaming, AI, augmented reality, and several other topics.

Most weekly show formats involve one longer episode that’s over an hour long and a smaller one that normally sits around the half-hour mark. In addition to discussing trending topics in the tech space, the podcast hosts will sometimes discuss products that they’ve recently used.

The broad range of topics make the Vergecast a must-listen if you have more than one tech-related interest. Some of the best episodes to start with include Saying Goodbye to Twitter and Epic v. Apple Judge.

3. Accidental Tech Podcast

The Accidental Tech Podcast has been running for over 10 years and is hosted by Marco Ament, John Siracusa, and Casey Liss. The trio releases episodes every two weeks, and they often talk about Apple products while also dissecting company news and the latest products.

In addition to Apple, the Accidental Tech Podcast also covers programming. While podcast episodes aren’t released as often as some of the other shows on this list, each one is long-form. If you haven’t yet started, you have over 500 episodes to catch up on.

While many modern podcasts are over an hour long, Gadget Lab’s episodes often last less than an hour and are easily digestible. Episodes worth checking out include How Election Deniers Are Weaponizing Tech To Disrupt November, and Your Life, Your iPhone.

You’re probably familiar with TED Talks, and TED Tech is a great way to only filter tech-related discussions. The program gets updated twice per week, and shows are of varying lengths (but many are less than an hour long).

TED Tech covers several technology-related topics, including AI, jobs, and creativity. If you don’t like watching video content, listening will help you get the information you need in a format that suits you.

Each week, Cal Newport discusses several topics related to tech, productivity, and how the two intertwine. For example, in his Artists Revolt Against Social Media episode, he talks about how many artists have reverted to building an online presence via personal websites.

The podcast occasionally interviews high-profile guests; Ali Abdaal was on the show in January 2024. Most of the episodes last over an hour.

8. Last Week in AI

The Stack Overflow Podcast is easy to digest, with most episodes lasting around 30 minutes.

10. The Daily Tech News Show
